Built on Maritime Expertise. Driven by Compliance Precision.
Vaayuvent Maritime Assurance LLP is a specialist maritime compliance and assurance firm delivering independent, vessel-side audit and investigation services to shipowners and ship management companies across global trading routes.
Our Foundation
Vaayuvent Maritime Assurance LLP was established with a singular purpose: to provide shipowners and ship management companies with the independent, technically rigorous compliance assurance that the modern maritime regulatory environment demands.
Our founders bring decades of combined sea service and shore-based maritime experience — spanning flag state administration, classification society work, P&I Club investigations, and shipboard operations across tanker, bulk carrier, and container vessel sectors.
Operating from India with a global service reach, we deliver our services onboard — not from a desk. Every audit, investigation, and assessment is conducted by qualified professionals with direct vessel access, ensuring findings are accurate, contextual, and immediately actionable.
20+ Years at Sea — Before We Ever Set Foot as Inspectors
Every inspector at Vaayuvent Maritime Assurance LLP has served at sea for a minimum of 20 years before joining our team. This is not a preference — it is a non-negotiable prerequisite. Real compliance expertise is built on the bridge, in the engine room, and on deck, not in a classroom.
Our inspectors have held command and senior officer positions across tankers, bulk carriers, and container vessels on international trading routes. They have navigated PSC inspections, SIRE vettings, and flag state audits from the other side of the table — as the officers being inspected.
This first-hand experience means our team understands the operational pressures crews face, the practical constraints of shipboard life, and the difference between a genuine non-conformity and a documentation gap. Our findings are grounded in reality, not theory.
A Rigorous Selection Process — Because Your Vessels Deserve the Best
Joining the Vaayuvent inspector panel is not straightforward. We apply a structured, multi-stage selection process to ensure every inspector we deploy meets the highest standards of technical competence, professional conduct, and regulatory knowledge.
Sea Service Verification
Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of 20 years of verified sea service, including command or senior officer rank. Discharge books, CoC certificates, and employment records are independently verified before the process proceeds.
Technical Knowledge Assessment
A structured written and oral assessment covering ISM, ISPS, MLC 2006, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, and OCIMF SIRE 2.0 requirements. Candidates must demonstrate current, working knowledge — not just historical familiarity.
Practical Vessel-Side Evaluation
Shortlisted candidates conduct a supervised shipboard assessment alongside a senior Vaayuvent inspector. Their observation methodology, finding documentation, and crew interaction are evaluated against our quality standards.
Regulatory Currency Check
We verify that candidates are current with the latest IMO circulars, OCIMF guidance, and flag state requirements. Maritime regulation evolves continuously — our inspectors must be ahead of it, not catching up.
Ongoing Quality Assurance
Selection is not the end of the process. Every inspector undergoes annual performance review, peer assessment, and mandatory continuing professional development. Inspectors who do not maintain our standards do not remain on the panel.

Our Operating Principles
Independence
Our assessments are conducted independently and objectively. We have no commercial relationship with equipment manufacturers, flag states, or classification societies that could compromise our findings.
Technical Rigour
Every finding is referenced to the applicable convention, code, or guideline. We do not issue subjective opinions — we identify specific non-conformities against defined regulatory requirements.
Vessel-Side Presence
We conduct our work onboard. Direct access to the vessel, her crew, and her equipment is the only way to produce findings that are accurate, contextual, and actionable.
